PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that causes pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. It occurs when the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that the heel bone to the toes becomes inflamed or irritated. This condition can be by a variety of factors, including overuse improper footwear, and tight calf muscles. Rest, stretching, and wearing supportive shoes or orthotics can be beneficial. Acupuncture, Massage, Cupping, Guasha, treatments are an effective treatment for plantar fasciitis. When all techniques are combined they have a powerhouse effect! In traditional Chinese Medicine the main theory for pain or injuries, is to promote blood flow and energy to the area. This helps promote healing. Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the to stimulate the healing response. Cupping and Guasha use suction and scraping techniques to increase blood flow and reduce muscle tension. Massage techniques can also help to relax muscles and improve circulation, leading to reduced pain and increased mobility.
