Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine that has been used for thousands of years. It involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. There are many types of acupuncture techniques:

Traditional Chinese Medicine: where we are putting a needle into an acupuncture point along a meridian. This is done after a detailed diagnosis and treatment plan is done. Acupuncture points are then chosen accordingly to ones condition and patterns. This can treat a wide variety of conditions.

Muscular Skeletal: Acupuncture can help with muscular skeletal conditions, injuries and pain because it directs the bodies healing response to the desired area. Think of it like this. We place a foreign object into the body. What does your body want to do? Get it out! The needles are a stainless steel surgical instrument so when the needle is pulled out the healing effect is still taking place. this is due to the bodies healing systems being activated.

Neuro Acupuncture: Acupuncture can also be effective due to activating the local nerves. This type of acupuncture can be very effective with the treatment of conditions with nerve involvement.

IMS/Dry needling: This technique can be used to gain a muscular contraction. relieving tight over contracted or activating under contracted muscles.

Electrical Acupuncture: This is where an electric signal is sent into the needles. This can be a very effective form of acupuncture that can help many conditions. There are several different reasons to use electric acupuncture. To easily gain a contraction of a muscle like IMS/Dry needling. To stimulate the nerves or local muscles, to relax and help your condition.

Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for a variety of conditions.
