BELL'S PALSY

Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face. It can make it difficult to smile, blink, or close the eye on the affected side. While the exact cause is unknown, it is believed to be related inflammation of the facial nerve. Most people with Bell's palsy recover fully within three to six months, but may experience long-term effects. Acupuncture can be a very effective treatment for this condition! Acupuncture, Massage, Cupping, Guasha, treatments are an effective treatment for Bells's Palsy. When all techniques are combined they have a powerhouse effect! In traditional Chinese Medicine the main theory for pain or injuries, is to promote blood flow and energy to the area. This helps promote healing. Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the to stimulate the healing response. Cupping and Guasha use suction and scraping techniques to increase blood flow and reduce muscle tension. Massage techniques can also help to relax muscles and improve circulation, leading to reduced pain and increased mobility.
